All work is made from high fired (1240C), Craft-crank clay or occasionally ‘T’ Material. Firing to this temperature ensures that all the work is frostproof and can safely be left outside all year. Where colour is used it is usually provided by high firing coloured slips or occasionally from matt glaze. The pieces are finished with an oxide wash.

Libby's animal sculptures are all made individually. Some are modelled in their entirety whilst others combine slab construction with modelling. A wide range of animals is produced and further work is being added all the time.
